These colored pencils are "made using recycled sheets of the Beijing People's Daily! Each pencil is made from tightly wrapped sheets of reclaimed Chinese newspapers. As fun to look at as they are to use, they feature rich, smooth colors, are easy to sharpen and are stronger than wood. They come packed in a handy tube which is also recycled, and therefore features random text and photos."
Newspapers bother me. I don't like them. I frown at people who buy them and then toss them in the trash. In a day and age where you can read practically any paper online, it blows my mind that we are still cutting down trees to print newspapers.
But at least someone is turning them into cool colored pencil sets.
I wonder if they sell them in China made from American newspapers...
Do you know about something recycled and bad-ass? Shoot me an email, link's on the right.
