Like mother...
Amanda and I were watching a show together & at the end of it we both teared up.
Noah walked over and teased us about it...
As Amanda wiped her eyes, she said, "Gosh! I'm such a mom!"

Noah on racing...
"Kate, I don't want to watch some dumb dog run around a track, I want to see a horse with a dude on it, not some dog chasing a fake rabbit because he's hungry."

"I can't believe they even think those fake rabbits are real..."

"I can't believe they think that the rabbit can balance on that pole..."

"Uh Trin, it doesn't work that way."

"Oh... Is it because he's a prince and your a commoner?"

At home...
Surgery went well yesterday. The Cake Lady picked me up, took me for pancakes & Starbucks and then home where I went to sleep. I slept until about 5 virtually without any pain.

But oh baby let me tell you that after five when the numbness in my foot wore off? Yeah, it was like when I first broke it. Hurts like hell.

So basically I've been on the couch with my pain pills in pain & nauseated. So much so that I threw up this morning which was so fun.

Anyway, I've gotten all of your emails and voice messages and THANK YALL so much :) I promise I will get back with more once I stop feeling like shit. My doctor promises that today is going to be the worst day.

On a scale of 1 to 10
Today ranked a solid 2.
Today it rained.
It wasn't raining this morning, just cloudy... But sometime during the afternoon, it began to rain.
I didn't think anything of this until I was leaving work.
When I was crutching (I've inducted the word "crutch" into my dictionary of verbs) my way to the door it suddenly occurred to me that rain plus handicap ramp equals another broken bone.
So as I stepped out onto the porch, I tentatively placed my crutch onto the wet ramp and put a little weight on it which caused the crutch to slide across the ramp.
Which caused me to curse The Universe.
So I crutched back to the door to get help but stopped because, well, what are they going to do. I turned around and the crutch I had tested the slickness of the ramp with was still wet and slid right out from under me causing me to put all of my weight onto my left foot. Which didn't hurt. Until I got to the car. (embarrassment evidentally keeps pain at bay)
And then it hurt like fucking hell.
Like it did when I first broke it.
And my ass cried.
And then came home and took a hydrocodone & watched The Polar Express with Trin.
And then when I came to get in bed, I did the exact same thing only this time without wet crutches to blame.
I have no idea how I am going to do this for weeks. Maybe months.

You know what the problem is with you women?
"So Fairy & I were having this debate and she said I should ask your opinion since your a dude..."

"Ok..."

"Ok. So if a guy says that he likes your purple office and then someone else says 'isn't it cute?' & he looks you in the eye, like this, and says 'yes, it is very cute' and then walks off, does that mean he likes you?"

"No Kate, it means he likes your office. If he likes you he would say 'hey Kate, want to get together sometime?' You know what the problem is with you women? You OVER ANALYZE EVERYTHING!... oh and also, if he thinks your purple office is "cute" then he is probably gay."

6:46A - You know what's cool?
When you board a flight thinking it will be 4 hours and they announce that it will only be 2.5.

I didn't take into
account that I would be losing an hour because of the time difference. I am now flying over what I can only assume is a beautiful sunrise. I can't see it because it isn't on my side of the plane :(

Oh and get this! This flight stops in Cleveland but then goes on to Toronto! I, however, am getting off of it and switching to another flight.

How's that for irony Snow?

palm blogging
Ok so I am actually blogging to you from McDonalds. Sadly this is not because Mickie-D's has started passing out laptops for parents to use while their children bounce off the walls in a junk food induced haze. Wouldn't that rock? Yeah a bunch of you are rolling your eyes and that’s cool, it's just because you aren't on your tenth year of being a parent and therefore haven't been drug to McDonalds something like nineteen million times. Am I getting off track here? I can't even tell because the teeny tiny amount of space I can read has already scrolled too far for me to know what the hell my point was going to be. I guess it's a good thing I type super fucking fast on an actual keyboard so I don't forget what the hell I am talking about. This whole one letter a time shit just doesn't really fly. How do those of you who hunt and peck deal with this?
Anyway it doesn't really matter what the point was since I'm really only using this to discourage these two dudes who are sitting at the tables next to me from talking to me.
Worth every penny I spent on the palm.
What the hell is the deal with the forty something newly divorced men wanting me? I think I am going to buy a fake ring to start wearing when I am out.
Ok I'm done. It's been like twenty minutes since I started this and that is way too long for like one paragraph.

To go through what you have and not only still be able to discuss it with such wit and poise, but also to raise those three gorgeous girls. You are truly an inspiration. You are honestly one of the strongest people I have ever known, either online or IRL. Thank you so much." -Stef
